“Oh, just one more thing …”

Investigation Summary:There are a couple of loose ends I’d like to tie up.” You contracted me to conduct a private investigation on behalf of individuals known as the “Sheep in Exile”. Based on your recent request, I have closed out that case. I have forwarded a large confidential file containing the following:

  • Detailed report of investigation with key judgements,
  • Photographs,
  • Interviews,
  • Source materials (news clippings & electronic media), and
  • Physical evidence from dumpster diving.

As discussed earlier, I remain on retainer and am preparing for the imminent activation of  Phase II operations. I stand ready to conduct a thorough review of certain matters pertaining to the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP).

With regards to the AUSCP, I have worked with your friend, Mr. Fre3d Capra, and trained him in the tradecraft required to infiltrate the AUSCP and provide inside information on the upcoming Albuquerque Assembly to be held June 25-28. His counterfeited dissident, liberal catholic credentials were impeccably contrived. He is now an AUSCP member in good standing.

4458652-rambler01loHaving Fre3d feign being comatose last year was a brilliant ploy. That gave him an opportunity to join the AUSCP and win their trust. Good thinking on your part!

Fre3d recognized that his old Rambler would be far too recognizable for undercover work. So he gave it to me. My dog loves it.

I have also been in touch with your “dead horse” Petition. He is quite alive and thrivingdead-horse at Wyoming Catholic College. He is assisting with their P.E.A.K. summer programs (click here and here.) He will be part of the horseback riding  and horse excursion program. His devotion to prayer and desire to help in influencing strong Catholic youths is a fitting way for him to move towards retirement. The way Petition was treated at St. Peter’s was a very sad thing, indeed.

As we move into Phase II, the sensitivity of the operations focusing on AUSCP and similar organizations demands that we refrain from any further open discussion. This will be my final post. All future correspondence will be encrypted and sent via other means.

Personal Comment: Although this was an exceedingly difficult case, it has certainly been intriguing and spiritually instructive. The reason I took this case pro bono was because all of us in the Church Militant have to contribute our time and prayers to defend the One True Church founded by Jesus Christ.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Evelyn Kerr who passed away today.

It is now 36  days to the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) Assembly. Although our Pastor has attended this event at least twice in the past, we have no idea if he will attend this year.

If you have the time, read the article Listening to Women: Creating space for women’s voices in the Catholic Church (click here). After you have read it, please note the remarks at the end of the article. This will help in understanding some aspects of the AUSCP agenda.

Listening to Women is sponsored by the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests, Australian Reform Organization, DignityUSA, FutureChurch, RAPPORT (Renewing a Priestly People, Ordination Reconsidered Today) and the Women’s Ordination Conference.

Social Justice Warriors? No, Social Justice Hypocrites!

In the right hand column of our Home Page you will find a list of links to “Catholic” websites. Click on any or all of those and you will will learn about the death of Alfie Evans. Alfie, being Baptized and under the age of reason, is in Heaven today – he is now St. Alfie. (Read the story here: BREAKING: Alfie Evans has died)

His story is a terrible demonstration of the abuse of human rights by those who have no hearts, no human compassion. The right to life and parental rights have no place in the thinking of the people who caused this atrocity. This is truly a great social injustice.

So, dear readers, where are the ‘catholic social justice warriors’? Where are their demonstrations against this evil? Where are the busloads of their activists with signs proclaiming their outrage for this injustice? Where indeed?

I’ll be glad to show you where 1,200 priests who claim to be among the strongest workers for ‘catholic social justice’ are. I’ll be glad to give you the link to the pro-human rights, socially minded Association of U.S. Catholic Priests website – click here.

Once you get to their site, use their search engine and search for “Alfie” or “Alfie Evans”. Here is the response you receive:  “Your search did not match any documents.”

If you go to the AUSCP site, you won’t be able to avoid seeing one of their ‘catholic social justice’ triumphs proclaimed in all its amazing glory. This says it all.

Yes, it’s easy to say “-make every day- -EARTH DAY-“. It’s more difficult, however, to stand up to corrupt ideas and government officials. Sure, AUSCP members may have been jailed for demonstrating for some of their seemingly important social justice causes, but, I ask you, where are they when it comes time to challenge the government (whether it be in the UK or in the USA) when it tramples the God-given rights and dignity of human beings the way He created them to be or for the salvation of their souls?

For the AUSCP the answer is simple: “Your search did not match any documents.”

The AUSCP will hold their assembly in 57 day, perhaps our Pastor will decide not to attend this year.

St. Alfie, pray for us!

Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons? – More to the Story

More to the Story

We may have differing positions on certain issues. Gun control is one of those issues. The fact that there was “Poster Making Party” at St. Peter’s that was focused on gun control is not the problem. The problem is that there are several indications that the “Party” was sponsored by a specific political party, i.e. Democratic Party, thereby making the event that took place in St. Albert Hall a partisan event.

The “Poster Making Party” apparently was authorized prior to March 14. Following are excerpts from an email announcing the event:

“Hello everybody

Only one week before the March.

Poster Making Party Wednesday March 21st  5:00 to 7:30PM.  Make Signs for  March for Our Lives   St. Peter’s Church Community Room, Little Washington, VA, Poster materials will be provided, but bring your own materials and slogans too.

Attached are a couple of designs (thank you [name redacted]!) and a few ideas for those who cannot attend

1- Ban military style weapons.

2- Ban all semi-automatic weapons

3- Universal background check for gun owner

4 – LaPierre, you have no conscience

5- Lawmakers, act and stop children massacre

6 – Prayers are not enough, action is needed

Ok I am not creative, I am sure people will come up with great signs.”

Whatever your position is on gun control, St. Peter Catholic Church is not the place to have a partisan (Democratic or Republican) “Poster Making Party”.

We Need More Information

A reader of this blog asks the following pertinent questions”

Did anyone in the parish attend this?

Was this ever advertised to any parishioners? If not, why not?

We are hoping that other readers and interested parties will come forward with information to answer those questions and a host of other questions concerning the “Poster Making Party”.

We Will Get This Right

Thus far, we have posted two items relating information about the “Poster Making Party” held last week in St. Albert Hall at St. Peter Catholic Church. The first item was Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons? that provided information from two independent sources. It is difficult to verify and corroborate all information that is passed to us. That is why we are doing our best to “get this right” and why we posted Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons? – Correction when a third source came forward: .

As we said in our last post, “We are praying that we get this right.” Thankfully, one reader of this blog provided us an item “For full correctness:” that helps to clarify a partial misstatement in questions we posed under Observation 4 in Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons?. The phrase that needs clarification is “This year, last year, and every year since you have been at St. Peter’s, …”

In January 2015, our Pastor did join with parishioners on the March for Life and the parish did arrange for a bus. (See Bulletin 2015-01-18.) Reportedly, Father observed “that we ‘did not fill the bus’. That may partially explain why he decided not to have the parish order a bus for January 2016 (the year of the blizzard). (See Bulletin 2016-01-17 where our Pastor tells us to use buses provided by St. John the Evangelist or Precious Blood parishes.) In 2017 and 2018, the Knights of Columbus provided the buses. Interestingly, both of those years the bus was full, but our Pastor was away on vacation.

We continue to pray that we get this right.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons? – Correction

Immediately, after posting Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons?, another source came forward and clarified a point that had puzzled us. We were concerned about the event occurring on a Thursday evening. The new information reveals that a: “Poster Making Party” was scheduled for  “Wednesday March 21st  5:00 to 7:30PM”.

There is more information available, but we are waiting for clearance to post that to our general audience.

We are praying that we get this right.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons?

Bottom Line Up Front: I have two reliable sources who reported the following:

On March 22nd, St. Peter Catholic Church hosted a group of people making posters for the anti-gun rights “March for Our Lives” scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 24th in the District of Columbia.

The following picture is of a poster made during that session. Apparently, it was rejected and cast aside due to the misspelling of the word “assault”. The picture also shows two of the many containers of markers used during the event.

Assaut

Reportedly, the poster making session occurred last night. There is Mass and Holy Hour at St. Peter’s on Thursday evenings. So, the event either occurred during Mass and Holy Hour or sometime after 8:30pm. There was no mention of the event on the parish website or in Bulletin_2018-03-18.

Also, there is information that the group of attendees either was primarily composed of or at least included members of the Rappahannock County Democrats.

Speculative Commentary

Observation 1: Please read the letter in Thursday’s Rappahannock News entitled Their voices are loud and clear by Marian M. Bragg. Ms. Bragg’s letter makes it clear that she, “along with a busload of like-minded residents” will be participating in the “March for Our Lives” on Saturday. The website of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee clearly shows that Ms. Bragg is a member of that committee.

Questions: When Ms. Bragg gets on the bus tomorrow bound for the march will she have a poster to display? If so, was that sign made at St. Peter’s?

Observation 2: As far as we know, no one in the parish could authorize the type of sign making session that occurred on March 22 – no one except our Pastor.

Questions: Did Father authorize the event? Did Father participate in the event. Did Father make any signs of his own? Will Father be on the bus with Ms. Bragg tomorrow morning?

Observation 3: We know that our Pastor is a proponent for “Gun Control”. See For the Sheep in Exile – Bulletin 2017-12-10. We also know that our Pastor appears to be closely aligned with the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) and their stance against gun violence. (See “GUN CONTROL” at St. Peter’s – More to the Story.)

Question: To what extent has our Pastor used his position and authority to promote the AUSCP agenda and the Democratic Party agenda pertaining to gun control?

Observation 4: Whether directly or indirectly, through authorization to use parish property, our Pastor appears to have provided support to “a busload of like-minded residents”. His support will be visible in Washington, D.C. tomorrow, whether he rides on that bus with the “like-minded residents” or not. His support will be on every one of the posters on that bus that will be paraded in front of national and international news cameras.

Questions: Father we pose this to you directly. This year, last year, and every year since you have been at St. Peter’s, you never supported your sheep, your lambs who made the sacrifice to go the “March for Life”, why is it that you could desert us yet give your support to those going on the bus to the “March for Our Lives” tomorrow? Where was your support for our bus? Where was your support for all the babies killed in the womb?

Almost the Final Question: Father, should we ban “assaut” weapons?

Final Question: As we move into the holiest week of the year, will our Pastor’s apparent support for the AUSCP and Democratic Party agenda bring the salvation of even a single soul?

Salus

For the Sheep in Exile – Bulletin 2018-03-18

Here is Bulletin_2018-03-18

Dear readers, allow me to share a beautiful poem by a world famous author. It comes from a collection of poetry that has been with me for decades. It suits this season and this day so well.

Ode to the Plum Blossom

Wind and rain escorted Spring’s departure,
Flying snow welcomes Spring’s return.
On the ice-clad rock rising high and sheer
A flower blooms sweet and fair.
Sweet and fair, she craves not Spring for herself alone,
To be the harbinger of Spring she is content.
When the mountain flowers are in full bloom
She will smile mingling in their midst.

Are you, perhaps, asking who might have written such a tender and thoughtful reflection on the change of seasons? Well, you might know this author better by another collection of his reflections on the struggles of life. That collection was published under the title of Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung, aka The Little Red Book.

Last week, I was under the weather and did not read Bulletin_2018-03-11 closely. My beautiful and most wonderful spouse advised me to check a reference, but, shame on me, I didn’t follow her advice. This week I noticed what she had already seen. Here’s the way it appears in the bulletin this week:

Join the Book Club! Mondays: 9:15–10:15a.m.

BARKING TO THE CHOIR! By Gregory Boyle

All are invited to join our Monday morning book club, starting at 9:15 a.m. til 10:15 a.m. The next meeting will be on Monday, March 20. I promise you will be so glad you joined! **ALL ARE WELCOME**

Unlike the Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung and the Poems of Mao Tse-Tung, I have not read Barking to the Choir. I don’t ever intend to read it. Why? For the same reason I no longer read poems by Chairman Mao. Although many worthwhile things can come from an author’s pen, that very same pen can be the means by which that author can spread evil, corrupt thoughts.

Who is Gregory Boyle? His publisher Simon & Schuster says this about him:

Gregory Boyle is the founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, CA. Now in its 30th year, Homeboy traces its roots to when Boyle, a Jesuit priest with advanced degrees in English and theology, served as pastor of Dolores Mission Church, then the poorest Catholic parish in Los Angeles, which also had the highest concentration of gang activity in the city. Homeboy has become the largest gang-intervention, rehabilitation, and reentry program in the world, and employs and trains gang members and felons in a range of social enterprises, as well as provides critical services to thousands of men and women each year who walk through its doors seeking a better life.

So, what’s the problem? Turns out there is more than one problem:

Problem 1: Fr. Boyle is a close associate and friend of the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP). For example, he was a keynote speaker at the 2015 AUSCP Assembly. (See: Founder of Homeboy Industries addresses AUSCP and guests at 2015 Assembly.)

Problem 2: Fr. Boyle has ridiculed the Catholic Church’s refusal to ordain women to the priesthood.  “You know the Vatican just said that the ordination of women is a grave sin,” he said. “Have you ever met anybody who would agree with that, I mean my 85-year-old mother doesn’t…” (See: Fr. Greg Boyle, S.J., “Have You Ever Met Anybody Who Would Agree With That?”.)

Problem 3: Fr. Boyle supports homosexual “marriage”. (See: Notre Dame to give highest honor to Jesuit priest who supports gay ‘marriage,’ women priests.)

By now, you know we don’t make these things up. But, just in case you may be doubtful about what we have asserted above, please view the following video and listen to Fr. Boyle in his own words. Fr Greg Boyle on gay “marriage”, Proposition 8, women priests, communion

Once again, the AUSCP agenda has insinuated itself into St. Peter’s. The snakes of death and the worms of corruption have crawled into our parish. How many souls will be saved by sharing the thoughts of Fr. Gregory Boyle?

The pen that wrote Ode to the Plum Blossom was wielded by the same man who was responsible for the death of as many as 65 million. Remember that as you read Barking to the Choir.

For the Sheep in Exile – Bulletin 2018-03-04

Here is Bulletin_2018-03-04

This will be somewhat complicated, but the underlying principal is simple. So, I’ll put it up front. In our view, many Catholic priests and many of Catholic laypersons in public office have abandoned the “right to life” teachings of the Church and replaced them with unwarranted emphasis on “social justice”. AUSCP is part of that group. We will use two days in February to illustrate our point.

February 27, 2018: We learn from the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) website that AUSCP among Catholic activists arrested for support of Dreamers. Here’s the story:

SurvilFather Bernard Survil, AUSCP member from the Diocese of Greensburg, with Sister Marie Lucey OSF and Patrick Carolan, prepare the Catholic Day of Action for Dreamers, in Washington, D.C. Sister Marie Lucey is the associate director of the Franciscan Action Network; Patrick Carolan is the executive director. Thirty-six women and 10 men, including Father Survil, were arrested for acts of civil disobedience, while supporting the call for clean DACA legislation including a path to citizenship.

February 28, 2018: We learn that Georgetown honors pro-abortion Senator whose bishop just barred him from Communion. Yes, Senator Dick Durbin, D-IL, an alleged Catholic, whose bishop recently barred him from Holy Communion, with an award for devoting “his life to the core Jesuit value of service to others.” One can only assume that the Core Jesuit values have no problem with the fourteen anti-life, “Catholic” senators like Dick Durbin and our own Senator Tim Kaine who voted “to stop the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act from becoming law”.

Homework: Class, here’s your homework assignment – Search the AUSCP website for “right to life” and any similar topics as they might relate to Church teaching. (Good luck!) Also search for all the calls to AUSCP members to commit acts of civil disobedience in support of the right to life issue. (Once again that’s a null set.) Finally, search through all the media on this entire planet and find the number of AUSCP members that committed any acts of civil disobedience at Georgetown University in opposition to Georgetown’s award for Dick Durbin. (I’ll give you hint, Fr. Bernie Survil wasn’t there.)

Background: Fr. Bernie Survil is not just any AUSCP member – he was one of the founders. From the beginning, AUSCP has made its priorities known. For any thinking, believing, praying Catholic, the AUSCP agenda has no problem with the Dick Durbins and Tim Kaines – the “Catholic” public officials who hate children in the womb. The Durbins and Kaines are the haters.

Perhaps it is not so bad that our Pastor has placed a certain sign in front of St. Peter’s parish grounds – “Hate has no home here”.  Let’s remember “Hate has no home here” if Tim Kaine ever comes to Rappahannock County and St. Peter’s.

To our Pastor: Father, you can do better than associating yourself with the AUSCP and its agenda, a whole lot better.

Salus

Where we are going and the distractions along the way

Tonight our minds are filled with disparate images of what some Catholic parishes have become and what is in their future. We are also thinking of what has happened to Christianity over the last 500 years and where we might be heading.

PandD-02We came here to Rappahannock County and St. Peter’s after six years in the wayward Diocese of Boise (Idaho). My friends tell me it is somewhat better now than it used to be. So, this recent picture of Bishop Peter Christensen as he “helped the RCIA candidates on their Journey of Faith at the Rite of Election on Friday, February 16” in our old parish shows us that many of the old “distractions” are still there.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. The girl holding the book really does have green and blue hair. Perhaps we are too old fashioned, but my beautiful spouse and I would consider that a “distraction” at Mass or any liturgy.

Now let’s consider our good Pastor. He made the news many years ago with his defiance of the then bishop. Read about it in Priest Who Allowed Altar Girls Is Told to Stop. Now you might say this is old news. Yet, if you look at it from the perspective of “distractions”, you might find it hard to believe that our Pastor would think that so-called “altar girls” would be no distraction, but ringing of bells at the elevation of the Eucharist would. In his words:

2014-07-13 – Pastor’s Piece:

RINGING BELLS – I prefer to have the servers ring the bells one time at the Epiclesis which is when the priest calls down the Holy Spirit on the gifts. I prefer to have some moments of silence after the words of institution (“this is my body” -“this is my blood”). Ringing the bells seven times (once for the epiclesis and 6 times for the Body and the Blood) does not give us enough quiet time in which to say a quick prayer. My mother always said to herself in that quiet time-“my Lord and my God”–the words of St. Thomas to the resurrected Jesus.

The problem is, now our servers don’t ring the bells even one time. If there is a ever a requirement for “distractions” at Mass, please give us those ever so distracting bells and spare us the green and blue hair.

Luther and Henry VIII started something of a trend in the Christian World. PandD-03And my wife and I believe the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests (AUSCP) are in line with the present day manifestation of that trend. Look at what has happened to Christianity in Sweden since Luther. On the left is Eva Brunne, the “world’s first lesbian ‘bishop'”. A recent story reports that (Sweden’s Liberal Church ‘Set to Lose over a Million Members in Next Decade’).

PandD-04

“Bishop” Brunne and friends

The story line reminds one of the losses in the Catholic Church here in America. Now the AUSCP intends to explore that problem at their next assembly. Consider what we said last week in our post Here’s Your Theme & “almost final schedule”. Remember that the AUSCP assembly theme will be a very simple and straightforward:

The Church in a Post-Modern World: Spirituality and Ministry in a Secular Age Can we still attract and grow disciples?

Our thought at this point is this: Dear Fathers of the AUSCP, you were the ones who brought on the “distractions”. Can you pull up your pants, act like real men, and get rid of the “distractions” and pray the Mass as priests of God? If you can’t do that, then please tell us where Christianity is going in the next 500 years.

Perhaps we should pose that question to this group as well.

PandD-05

The Rappahannock Clergy Association

Here’s Your Theme & “almost final schedule”

In some quarters, the anticipation is building at a rapid rate. The AUSCP 2018 Assembly in Albuquerque, June 25-28 is in it’s final planning stages.

The theme for the upcoming priestly extravaganza is a very simple and straightforward:

The Church in a Post-Modern World:
Spirituality and Ministry in a Secular Age

Can we still attract and grow disciples?

Let me be so bold as to ask this of the purported 1,200 members of the AUSCP:

Did you ever? Did you ever attract and grow disciples? Did you ever attract and grow disciples during your 50 years on watch? Look at your own statistics relating the devastating decline in Mass attendance and vocations and explain to us how you can use the word “still” in the question you pose to yourselves.

The “almost final schedule” for the eagerly awaited Assembly can be found here.

Over the course of the next few weeks we will look at the schedule and the keynote speakers. Assuming that our Pastor intends to attend the Assembly for a third consecutive year, perhaps he would like to contribute some comments on what he hopes to hear from:

  • Katarina Schuth

  • Father Richard Rohr, and

  • Bishop Robert McElroy
