Archdiocese for the Military: I’m a Catholic. I was baptized in the Military Archdiocese. I received my First Holy Communion in the Military Archdiocese. I was confirmed in the Military Archdiocese. I received the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony in the Military Archdiocese. All three of my children were baptized by priests of the Military Archdiocese. This Sunday, I will be giving to the collection for the Military Archdiocese.
Think about what the Obama administration has done to the military with its new social policies. The only place a Catholic in the military can learn the Truth is by talking to a Catholic chaplain of the Military Archdiocese in the privacy of Confession. Your contribution this weekend is more important now than ever before.
Politics: The Sheep of Kephas blog is not a 501(c)(3). I am in no way restricted from saying what I believe about politics and the current presidential race. Friends, if the priests of the Military Archdiocese are now severely limited in what they can say because of the new Obama military policies, think of what it will be like for Catholic chaplains in the military if HRC is elected. The government will keep the shepherds from protecting their flocks.
Politics and St. Peter’s: At St. John the Baptist, on a near daily basis, you will hear true Catholic teaching on social issues. You hear what you need to hear to form a right conscience. At St. Peter’s you hear – – crickets! The silence is deafening.
How will the sheep in the flock of St. Peter’s survive the onslaught of an HRC administration with a shepherd who remains silent?
How to Survive: Thousands in the country are preparing for possible tremendous social tumult. They are stocking up on food, guns and ammo. Whether that is the right or wrong thing to do, my preference is to increase my prayer, to go to Confession, and receive Communion more frequently. I must keep my spirit alive!!! So, in the words of the Bee Gees:
Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother
You’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’
And we’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive
Well now, I get low and I get high
And if I can’t get either, I really try
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes
I’m a dancin’ man and I just can’t lose
You know it’s all right, it’s okay
I’ll live to see another day
We can try to understand
The New York Times’ effect on man
